Viscera, last free woman of her specie (stronger than human beings and provided of a “shield” – like a force barrier), has the desire to keep on being free: usually women like her are the possession of men of her race.
Viscera allows a date to anybody wants to conquer her, on her side she is willing to kill to keep her status.
The message from the author – written at the end of the book – is to increase the awareness about violence to women by using a character that may be subjected to violence, but does not lose focus on her objective and turns the situation in her favour.
On one hand I find this purpose praiseworthy, on the other one I do not think that this message comes out from the story; concerning the graphical component I did not like the style of images that seems sloppy.
Thanks to the publisher for providing me the copy necessary to write this review.
