It’s a graphic novel about a very serious and difficult theme, the same dealt in I kill Giants but in a different way.
The point of view is of Jean, a child, and by his considerations the reader can meet the school, his friends and his family, as well as the absence of his mother; the “mother theme” is a difficult one for Jean, since he’s unable to answer when others ask about her.
The story unfolds, also with funny interludes, more to the disenchanted eyes of the reader than to the naive ones of the child.
I liked both the story and the drawings, I will suggest the reading both to adults and to children.
