Viola Doyle is a resourceful girl (maybe too much for her mother) who desires an adventurous life: an adventure will be provided by her grandmother when she gives Viola a peculiar pin that is able to choose its owner.
While researching the pin origins Viola meets a nice researcher from the History department, will have to prove her skills in a bicycle race and will also have to face a dragon.
The novel is nice and the characters interesting, some situations may be considered naive (everybody belive everything about the pin without posing any doubt), but I think it’s a good novel for middle grade children.
Thanks to the publisher for providing me the copy necessary to write this review.
