Dan Garret once upon a time was a true geek: video games, movies, cosplay, but most of all role-playing games. Then his father imposed on his life: diet, sport, basket, until Dan become unexpectedly popular..
Zelda Potts is clumsy, interesting and very geek and she never forgave Dan for changing and betraying the nerds. A misunderstanding between the two will enhance Zelda’s hate and desire for revenge. She will create an online alter-ego and start chatting with Dan in order to find a weak spot to expose him to the whole school.
The novel is a romantic one, so how it could end it’s easy to guess for the skilled reader (I will say also for the unskilled ones). In the novel make their appearance also Maddie and Logan, who were the main characters of The Summer I Became a Nerd.
Romancing the Nerd is nice but quite predictable and Zelda’s idea to punish her ex friend is quite silly. In the end this could be of no importance, but taking the overall novel I think it does not involve the reader enough in the story.
