In Smart Collaboration: How Professionals and Their Firms Succeed by Breaking Down Silos, Heidi K. Gardner demonstrates how in the last years the tendency of firms is to have vertical experts to deal with clients specific issues, and how this way of working is not the most convenient for the firms themselves.
Comparing different way of working (expert vs smart collaboration of a team of people) the author shows that smart collaboration can bring grater revenues and happier clients to the company.
In the following chapters the author deals about how does it mean to collaborate smartly, by focusing each time on different point of views: the leader’s, the collaborator’s and the client’s one.
Interesting read, particularly useful for leaders who have a team of people to coordinate to solve client’s issues.
