Becca Price is the author of two fairy tales collections: “Fairies and fireflies” and “Dragon and Dreams” I talked about here and here.

Both the collections contains delightful tales and are very well-finished.

Me and other three blogger who read both the books  asked the author for an interview, and she agreed to answer our questions.
We asked about different topics (selfpublish, illustrations, mythological elements, evolution of the fairy tale and message it conveys), the output is dense but very rich in content.

Here follows the interview – before the italian translated version and then the english original one – that is published also in the blogs by Chagall, Oedipa Drake and Tintaglia.

The author in this book takes some of the themes on which the Hobbit is based and tries to remembers us how they can be transposed in everyday life: some example are the attachment to material goods, the desire to own riches, friendship and the need of friends to overcome problems etc…

For each theme the author summarize its presence in the main Tolkien works (The hobbit and The lord of the rings), what Tolkien wanted to communicate and how it’s possible to apply it in our life.

An interesting analysis, clearly suited for the fan of the cited novels, for all the other people it brings the spoiled demon.

Thanks to the publisher for providing me the copy necessary to write this review.
